The information of Interfax about the dismissal of Minister Ablyazov is wrong, - the press service of the Government

ASTANA, Aug 26

(THE GLOBE)

The 25 August information of Interfax about the dismissal of Mr. Ablyazov, Minister of Energy, Industry and Trade, is wrong, said THE GLOBE a representative of press service of Kazakh Government, while presenting comments in Astana.

He said that on Wednesday they were astonished to hear this announcement with reference on Interfax agency as saying. I, in particular, have heard it in the interpretation of Radio NS which said that the session of the Government was being held with this issue on its agenda.

According to the representative of press service of Kazakh Government, no session of the Government was held that day. Sessions of the Government are usually chaired by the Prime Minister, with full Cabinet of Minister present; all chairmen of agencies and governmental offices attend such sessions; nothing of the kind happened yesterday, he said.

By the way, Ministers can be dismissed only by the President, he added. Prime Minister can only offer proposals concerning the professional effectiveness of this or that Akim of Oblast or Minister but the Presidents is the upper hand in making the decision on the fates, he added.

The representative of press service of Kazakh Government expressed his concern and astonishment with the fact that such esteemed agency as Interfax uses not facts but rumors.
