Recently a British team has set a new national motorcycle land-speed record with this
rocket thrust-powered machine.
Ridden by Richard �Rocketman� Brown it achieved an average speed of 348. 49 kilometres
per hour (km/h) - 216.55 miles per hour
(mph) over two runs on an airfield runway in northern England, beating the previous
British record which stood at 336.42 km/h
(209.05 mph) and making him the fastest man on a motorcycle outside the United States.
Now the team plan to go to the US for an attempt to beat the world motorcycle record,
which stands at 534.53 km/h (332.15 mph).
